Civil rights compliance program files, 1985-[ongoing].

"State agencies responsible for administration of vocational education programs shall adopt a compliance program to prevent, identify, and remedy discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex or handicap" (AAC-290-060-030-.3). This series consists of civil rights compliance program files. Typical records in these files include the Annual Report for Compliance with the Civil Rights Vocational Education Guidelines; onsite review reports for each college, recommendations, and follow-up visit reports; and compliance plans. Information in this series includes organization of the compliance program, description of funds distribution among the colleges, review of each state college, description of onsite review procedures, compliance violations, plans of action for noncompliance, and onsite monitoring of progress.
